ensoniq pci card - no line in or speaker out
Hi,
I have an Ensoniq PCI card on my Mandrake 9.2 amd64 machine. My motherboard also has a VIA 8233 onboard sound, but the via drivers do not work in 64 bit so I want to use the ensoniq. By removing the via modules and then using sndconfig I was able to get the Ensoniq (basically) functional with line out only, but the line-in and speaker-out do not work. I used kmix to turn speaker all the way up, and to set line-in to "record" but still nothing. lspci gives: 00:00.0 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 3188 (rev 01) 00:01.0 PCI bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device b188 00:0a.0 Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq ES1371 [AudioPCI-97] (rev 08) 00:0b.0 Multimedia video controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Video Capture (rev 11) 00:0b.1 Multimedia controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Audio Capture (rev 11) 00:0f.0 RAID bus controller: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 3149 (rev 80) 00:0f.1 IDE interface: VIA Technologies, Inc.
