Enabling Wireless card on Ubuntu


Hi everybody.

Pls help me with a little problem, i cant manage to enable my wireles card. I searck a lot through forums, but i didn't find any help.

SOme outputs that cand be usefull, i don't know what else shoul i do.

Also when i try to enable the wlan0 from KnetworkManager it doesnt work. I click enable and it stays disabled.

I have went through the same problem.
My solution is use the tool called "Hardware Drivers" to detect a new wireless driver for my wireless network card.
Then everything become similar as under windows.

Try it!

What router encryption mode are you trying to connect to? IOW, are you trying to connect to an non-encrypted, or WEP, or WPA encrypted router?

Windows can set these cards so they are (temporarily) unusable by linux.
