enable madwifi on suse


so i have madwifi installed on suse 10 through yast, but i dont think it is enabled. meaning i dont get a wireless card when i do an ifconfig or iwconfig. how do i enable madwifi?

upgrading to suse 10.1 will really solve alot of your problems. There is better network switching applications for wifi.

lets say i dont want to go through the hassle of upgrading... how would i get my wireless working.... or can i just install whatever software suse 10.1 uses?
