Hi, i am looking to do a small embedded project. At the moment i am looking at getting a TS-7200 from here:
I would post a link but it won't let me
I would then put debian on it (using the flash card) and i want to then be able to use it as a embedded mp3 player, playing music over the network using slimserver but i don't have any experience with embedded computers
so i am a bit worried about everything (like getting it and it not working) my main worry is getting a sound card that would work with an ARM debian install, i was woundering if anyone out here knows anything about getting a USB sound card to work (will i be able to run apt-get install alsa) or because it is ARM will it all require lots of jiggerypokery and recompiling of the kernel which i don't relay want to do.
Also i am worried about using the ndiswrapper (will that still work with an ARM system) if not, what USB wi-fi adapter should i use without ndiswrapper and on a ARM CPU?
Does anyone know about using PC/104 modules under linux, my preferred option would be to get 2 PC/104 modules, one for audo and one for wi-fi, can anyone point me in the direction of some were that sells those PC/104 modules (preferably in the UK) or just generally point me in the right direction.
Finally does anyone know of a manufacture of SBC that run linux, is in the UK and will sell you one of them.
Any help would be really appreciated as you can probably tell i have no idear :s
