ElementaryOS not making the most use of RAM?

So I was working on my 2009 mac with elementaryOS installed and I thought, "let me check how much RAM is there". So then I checked the RAM. The RAM was only 2 gb. I thought that I upgraded the RAM recently to 4 GB? So did I install the RAM wrong or is there a bug?

Hi,

What version are you using 32 bit or 64 bit? If you do from cli;
Code:
uname -ra
Should report the version. You sure that the new memory is the right one for your system?

Please use code tags for long listings such as what you presented for meminfo.

Hope this helps.

I upgraded the RAM in 2013 when this computer still had macOS installed. I am running 64 bit.
