editing power schemes / cpu scaling

Hey everyone, I installed suse 10.2 a few days ago, and I love it. The only thing I don't like about it is that when I have my laptop plugged in, I want it to boost my cpu up to max. The power scheme switches to performance by itself, but it doesn't boost up my cpu. Does anyone know how to edit the power scheme to make the default cpu frequency policy to performance?

I know another way to do this is to make a startup script to run the commands:
cpufreq-set -c 0 -g performance
cpufreq-set -c 1 -g performance

but the problem with that is that I don't know how to do that either...

Thanks for any ideas on this subject.

Hi lcaley,

have a look here: http://dkukawka.blogspot.com/2006/11...-tutorial.html

It explains how to set a few options in ~/.kde/share/config/kpowersaverc which are not available in the option dialog.

Cheers!
