Echo Mia thru ALSA on Fedora Core 4
I'm having issues getting my Echo card to even be seen by Linux..
I think what I need is some installation instructions for ALSA that aren't sketchy as f$ck. I've read about 50 different installation methods so far, and half of them contradict each other. I've tried installing/updating ALSA with Yum, and that didn't work. I've compiled and installed alsa_driver, alsa_lib, alsa_firmware, alsa_utils, and probably more of the package too, without any success in actually seeing a soundcard. Not very impressed at all with ALSA so far. Looks great on the website, but if its f%cking impossible to actually get up and running unless your a guru, then whats the point? Someone please help. I go crazy without music.. I'm going to (gulp) go back to Windows soon if I can't figure this out. |

Could that be causing a problem with ALSA detecting it? |
