dvd error
i am running fedora core 5 and storage devices my dvd rw and my dvd player. my dvd rw drive is running just fine but fedora is not recognizing my dvd player. when i use my windows both are recognized..can anyone help

You will need to give a lot more info. Drive brand, model and firmware revision. Kernel. dmesg report. How it is hooked up pata/sata/usb. If pata is it primary, secondary, etc.

drive brand/model number:compaq r_mogt-80000
this is connected through ide
secondary slave drive

Sorry we have been without power for a few days. Still need at least drive firmware revision, kernel and a dmesg report.
