dvb-usb

Hello,

I'm running Kubuntu 6.06 on my laptop. I'd like to use a Freecom dvb-usb tv stick with this but cannot get Kubuntu to recognise it. Plugging in the stick has no reaction , no light comes on and is dead.

I have tried instruction from Ubuntu forums but cannot get the kernel modules in v4l-dvb to make - loads of error messages, and no reply to queries on that forum.

Does anyone have any experience of using this dvb-usb and getting it working?

What error messages are you getting when you try to make the driver?

I managed to solve the problem by skipping the make config stage that was detailed in the instructions for the v4l-dvb drivers folder and going straight to make and make install. My dvb-usb now connects. However, it will only pick up a few TV channels (only BBC but not all the BBC channels) so I need to do some work on this side of things.
