DVB-T settings file for uk-durris transmitter (request)
Hi, i have the card (winTV nova-T) installed fine onto the system (suse 9.3) or so it appears. I open up kaffeine (0.7 from cvs), which detects a new dvb card, on the drop down list for the transmitter settings there is no option for our local mast (uk-Durris).
Have looked in ~/.kde/share/apps/kaffeine/dvb-t/ at some of the existing transmitter files, but I am unsure how, or where to obtain the necessary settings to create my own. If anyone lives in the area of this mast, or knows how to make the file required it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks note: maybe hardware is not the best category for this thread, but this is not a kaffeine only problem, it arrises with other programs as they also lack the necessary data for the uk-durris mast. edit : if its of any use, here is a link to the ofcom page relating to the Durris transmitter http://www.ofcom.org.uk/static/recep...-siteID=6.html |
Go here
http://www.linuxtv.org/ and download linuxtv-dvb-apps-1.1.0.tar.bz2 may be you'll be lucky finding a proper file, at worst you'll have chances to set up your own. Hope this helps Ciao |
Thanks for the suggestion, after my original post someone made me aware of that package. I have now managed to make the file for myself, if anyone else that requires these settings then here they are
Code:
# Grampian Television Durris http://griffin.dtg.org.uk/retailer/transmitters.html Then, once you have the channels for your transmitters multiplex, you need to add the center frequencies for these channels. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/terrestrial/tuning/ Note: You need the center frequencies in Hz, they are given on that page in MHz, (546 MHz = 546000000 Hz) as you can see on the first uncommented line in the channel config file. Other parts of that line may need changed too, but i'm unsure of what they can be changed to. |
