Dual -video on suse 8.2

I have had suse 8.2 setup using 2 video cards. An AGP tnt2 (primary) and a pci ATI somthing or anather (secondary). I ended up removing the secondary (and limping by on only 1 monitor for now). Resolution and colors had to be forced, but after the initial setup, all worked well.

BUT - there were a 2 big problems.
1 - I would click on the link to my /windows/D (use it for FAT32 storage) and the window would open up on the OTHER monitor, and REALLY drap the system down until I closed it. (same problem occured with a few other things, I just used windows/D as an example.)

2 - The password protected screensaver would come on correctly, but once I moved the mouse, the primary monitor would ask for my passwrd, but the secondary monitor would come up and you could work on it with having to type in the password.

(sorry this is getting so long)

Any way to resolve these issues? What is the history of Suse working on 2 (or more) monitors? Or what is the PREFERED dual-head video card for linux?
