Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Dual Monitor with Radeon 7000/VE

I am using a Radeon 7000 / VE graphics adapter. I have monitors on both outputs (standard and DVI). After booting I see the same image on both monitors. I would like to have separate displays on each monitor or at least expand the desktop across both.
I'm using Mandrake 10.0.

Any solutions?
