My friend just recently setup three monitors on his linux box (RedHat 9, Fedora Core 1) and I'm thinking about doing the same after I get some monitors my question is:
* Is it possible to have one monitor dedicated to X-Windows and have another monitor show a text console (e.g. plain text console) that would be controlled by another keyboard, on a dual monitor setup.
* Is it possible to load AGP, OpenGL drivers on just one card or several?
* Is it possible to reroute messages (from dmesg, kernel messages, messages from programs) from one monitor to a text console on another?
If you know how or know of site that talks about this please leave your how-tos, links, or feel free to email it and I'll post it on my brinkster site.
Please do not mention the Xinerama site (
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Xinerama-HOWTO/) for most of these questions.. I already look at it and it doesn't tell much (other than to setup X-Windows). Maybe there is a simpler site? Or a more advance site?
(Btw, is Debain ever going to get past 3.0r1? its installer sucks
maybe have Fedora switch to deb?)
Thanks
Dave
