Dual monitor and displaying some programs.

I've been running dual monitors now for multiple years. Something has always bothered me. Whenever I run, what I believe to be, a program that uses openGL ( what I believe to be openGL ) to render pages with. The rendered page/program/window only shows up in the "main" monitor. If I move the window to the secondary screen the window will be black. However, I'll still see the window frame and it's menus, as well as being able to pull down and view the menu options...it's just the inner window that is black.

I guess this mostly concerns games and visual applications that rely on GL.

Some examples:

NeverWinterNights
Chromium
TuxRacer
xtraceroute
scorched3d

Programs such as gimp, kivio and the like work fine on either monitor.

Here's my XF86Config file. Maybe it's lacking something, or maybe this is normal?

Comp:

Linux leper 2.4.20-24.9smp #1 SMP Mon Dec 1 11:25:17 EST 2003 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Nvidia drivers ( as seen in XF86Config )
XFree86 Version 4.3.0 (Red Hat Linux 9 release: 4.3.0-2.90.43)

Thanks.
