Dual Boot Problem: Win 2000 suggesting Linux Partitions Inconsistent!!
I am having a 20 GB harddisk with Windows 2000 installed on it. I made 4 partitions namely:-
1) C drive (primary NTFS) - 4GB containing WINDOWS 2000
2) LINUX (Primary FAT32) - 6 GB approx. Containing LINUX Installation (I had not given any drive letter to this)
3) SWAP Space - 600 MB
4) D drive (9 GB) FAT32
Now while booting, GRUB asks for boot option. If I select Fedora (it is the distribution I m using) Every thing works fine but if I select DOS, Windows Displays volume labels of the two drives LINUX AND SWAP and says they are inconsistent and checks for consistency. At the end it says Disks are consistent no probs. Again If I m rebooting same thing is happening again and again. Moreover My system is 640 MB RAM, and 100 GB harddisk(total i.e. one 20 GB and another 80 GB) and now after installing linux my WINDOWS OS is remarkebly slowed down. It takes 3-4 minutes to open MY COMPUTER. Can somebody Help me out there.
Thanx.
