drivers intallation from dvd


I have PC with ASUS P5VDC-MX motherboard with integrated video. I installed Fedora Core 5, but i can't login in graphic mode, only command line mode is available How can i install video drivers from dvd? Also i cant login as superuser with su -, this command doesnt work there.

what dvd? one that card with the card? that's going to be useless for you. If you have an ati or nvidia card i would *very* strongly suggest you use the livna.org repository which will isntall the drivers automatically for you.

if su is not working then i'd guess you forgot the password you specified during the installation? what actually happens?

Acer dvd disc drive. video card is integrated in motherboard and in driver cd are video drivers and i dont know how can i install them.
No i don't forgot my password. In username i write 'root' and then my password. And then when i write su - in next line merge previous line content- #.......
p.s. i'm total newbie in Linux!
