Driver prep

I have RH 9 and I am going to install it on a second hard drive whenever my drive arrives. I have been reading and copying all driver related posts available for me. I was wondering what preparation I can do, if any, while my computer works in Windows XP, to find out information about my system that would help me with drivers, etc?

I copied all of my system information from the XP system information deal, and a couple of related posts, but I was looking for good tips for preparing to install.

I have a HP Pavilion 7935, w/ PCI NVidia GEFORCE 4mx420, onboard video is disabled by BIOS.

Any help is appreciated.

Check the Red Hat Hardware Compatability List and the Linux Hardware Compatibility HOWTO for your hardware. Check on your video, sound and modem especially.
