Driver installation: A-CARD AEC6280 IDE card in Mandrake 9.2
Hi!
Can anyone help with this one?
I'm an enthusiastic user of Mandrake 9.2, but for a small problem - one of my HDDs is running off an A-CARD AEC6280 IDE card, and though Windows recognises this OK, Mandrake doesn't see the card/drive at all. A-CARD's site says that "The driver of AEC-6280/AEC-6880/AEC6890 was built-in Red Hat Linux7.3 & later" - but does anyone know if this is also the case with Mandrake 9.2? And if so, how to 'activate' support for this card?
I've also managed to get hold of drivers for the card from A-CARD, but these files look like uncompiled C:
aec62xx.c
ide-dma-c
ide-pci.c
pci.ids
pci_ids.h
... and I haven't the foggiest idea how to get this to work.
Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks.
