so being to close together can be a problem? ha. i though of this:
had an idea in math class. what if i unplug hda (master HD with Win 2000) and plug in hdb (slave i want to have linux) as the master and leave the windows drive not plugged in and boot and install it on the slave. Would that be a good idea? Is part of the problem that im trying to use a boot loader for 2 boot records on 2 drives? Im thinking maybe i don't need one, but when i want to start linux i should just go into the bios and have it boot from that drive... i'm pretty clueless at this point. The errors are quite odd as the drive works fine otherwise. Are their any online like chats or phone numbers i can call for help that are FREE?
