Question is what you want to do after you've captured the info?
* Just store it for your own reference?
* Do you want to store info about other computers at a later stage as well?
* Does it have to be remotely accessible?

If this is just for your own reference, you can store the info in a flat textfile (e.q. created with vi or emacs or whatever).
Other computers as well? As long as the amount is limited, you can still use the flat file.
In both cases you can also write it in openoffice and create a nice table format.

If it gets big (lots of computers), a database (as indicated before) while be the way to go.

Remotely accessible is a different story. This will require a lot of work from your site (setup of servers).
