OK, so on we go with the IBM Intellistation M-PRO ram problems. As some may remember, I had a problem with five beeps on POST. (1-3-1). Means a RIMM problem. OK, so there I had it. I needed pc600'ds and had pc700'ds. So I got myself the damn 600'ds. BUT! It _still_ beeps!! Lol. Could the problem be the fact, that out of 4 slots, one is occupied by the RIMM card, 2 by terminators and one is empty? Do I have to have terminators on all slots in order for the damn thing to work...? Or maybe... it's a mobo problem (god, please not!!!)? Any suggestions? (Oh, and it's one of the older models, the ones that still had RIMM)
When using RAMBUS memory, all banks have to be occupied. If there are four memory banks or slots and you have two memory modules, you will need two CIMM (dummy modules). Also two RIMM memory modules have to be installed at a time because it is dual channel.
You should not have any trouble using PC800. It will be under clocked, so the memory will last longer than PC600. Good luck finding PC600 because at this time only PC800 is sold in stores.

The problem is i already _HAVE_ a PC600. ONE. And according to what you say, I need two. CRAP. They're not so hard to find, tho. I know a great place for such "rare" thingies.
Edit: We have a little misunderstanding. I changed those two 700ds for one 600. Yay, how intelligent am I.... crap. Shit happens. Oh, well, I'm surely not letting this box go, I'll try to get it running as hard as possible... thanks.
