Does Grup have anything do to with IRQ's?

Hello,
Here's a strange thing which somebody may be able to throw some light on.
I've got a Mandrake 9.2 sitting on hda7 and loaded by LILO. I wanted to have a look at what Fedora were up to and I had hda2 free so I stuck it on there. It installed Grub. I configured grub to be able to boot the Mandrake which it did.
The only problem is that now my sound card does not work because of an IRQ conflict. If I reinstall LILO everthing works again.

Any thoughts,

Dan

Hi,

there are probably some boot-options / kernel-parameters set while booting with lilo,
look into lilo.conf, check the line with
append=

you need the same kernel-options in grub, put it the line with
kopt=...
