does fglrx supports radeon PCI cards??
 
i have been trying to make my GeCube Radeon 9200SE PCI card work on linux for some time now,i think i've tried everything there is to be tried but no DRI, i've seen in some sites that the radeon cards are not supported by fglrx, i just want to know if thats true..thanks

"fglrx" does not support PCI cards, but you most likely can get direct rendering through DRI's "radeon" module.

do i just edit xfree86.config and replace the section device driver ''fglrx'' with ''radeon''?

Although I thought fglrx did support pci. I use agp, but I wasn't sure.

Chances are your config file was created through "fglrxconfig", if you followed the right procedure trying to install Ati's driver, and while just changing "fglrx" for "radeon" could work, it's sure to turn up some errors, at best., both drivers don't recognize the same "Options".

Depending on the X server and distro you are using, there's different commands [...xf86cfg, xf86config, XFree86 -config, xorgcfg, xorgconfig] available to write your new config, then you can refer to "man radeon" to tweak it.
If you don't have that man page included, you can find it on the net here.
