Does a Logitech MK520 keyboard set work with linux?

Wireless or witless...

I though of buying a Logitech MK520 wireless keyboard and mouse, but I haven't found any information on how well this combination will function under linux.

There is a mention that the Logitech MK320 works with Ubuntu 10.04, and they both use a 2.4GHz wireless connection, but the rest of the technology may be different.

http://www.logitech.com/en-gb/keyboa...s/devices/7305

Has anyone any experience with this set?

Thank You

I would think it should work fine. Linux should just see it as a USB Keyboard and mouse. The clever wireless technology should be completely transparent. i.e Linux doesn't need to know anything about it. so saying... if the keyboard's got some keys which can be defined while used with Windows, they probably won't be recognised by Linux

Play Bonny!

Thanks...

I took the chance and risk of buying a Logitech MK320 set at a good price just before X-mas. It works so well that being cordless becomes a little addictive. Since the most important of the function keys work out of the box, I haven't done anything with configuring them. Have you any experience or hints for the keys?

Your reply will help others. Would you consider making a contribution to the HCL list? Otherwise, welcome to LQ.

Function and Follow up

Can not say I have really gotten into configuring the function keys.

I did post my information on the Logitech MK520 in the HCL as you suggested.

Thanks,
CCAM
