Hey. Where do i manually change DNS and Gateway of a network card? I tried with the GUI, but it crashes. I need it so i don't have to use Windows partition for browsing all the time

edit /etc/resolv.conf and change it with your actual DNS server. The syntax is like "nameserver 1.2.3.4"
to add a default gateway, use "route", like "route add default gw 1.2.3.4". To view your actual routes, use "route -n"
Thus... are you sure your network card is correctly configurated?

No, it will vanish, you need to add it to a bootup script if you want this to be applied at boot. I don't really know about Mandrake script however... if you have a "rc.local" script somewhere, it could be a good place where to add it.
