Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

DMS59 connector video card and hardware detection and drivers for such?

I have a five yr old HP Desktop, i5 with it's own dual monitor video card, and DMS59 connector, and I would like to know when choosing a Linux distro for this motherboard if any run using the hardware out of the box, or need I install a special driver?

What will the two monitors display at start up, and how are they controlled?

I can opt to gain a desktop just like it with an single monitor card.

I would rather suggest you to boot your favorite OS from pendrive and test it.

I have several of those. No distro or kernel treats them any differently from an ordinary PCI or PCIe video card that has two outputs. Nearly always those DMS59 connectors are on several years or more old cards with either AMD/ATI or NVidia gfxchips that have FOSS driver support built into all popular Linux distros.
