Distro independent system crashes

Hello everyone,
For a long time now I've had the problem of system crashing, until now it only happened on flash, mostly youtube, other streaming sites worked fine, but now that I got in steam for linux beta, I also see it is crashing in Team Fortress 2.

The crash is very strange, as it doesn't freeze or anything. The system just powers off, as if someone unplugged it from electricity. No errors are present in the log, and upon turning it on again the system behaves as if it was a power outage. And there seems to be some randomness in it, sometimes youtube can work for hours, and sometimes it crashes after only minutes. TF2 usually crashes within 10 minutes.

I can still do other things normally, play other games native or on wine, play hd video etc.

This has been going on for a while, and I tried several distros, Ubuntu, Fedora, openSuse, Chakra and now Slackware. Also, on Windows 7, this did not happen.

This sounds like the machine is overheating. Monitor the temperatures and clean out the cooling system.

Wow, the problem was overheating, due to dust. Totally forgot to clean the computer since the college semester started, thanks :)
