Distributions compatible with serial mice.

My computer (currently using Windows) has got a broken PS/2 port, thus I am using a serial mouse. However, when I tried to install Slackware version 10.2, it did not work. Asking here gave me the answer that serial mice are not compatible with that distribution, so my question is: Which ones are?

Also (a bit off-topic), which distributions are good for beginners? Slackware was too hard for me.

Regards

Pardon my french but that sounds like total BS to me. Hardware support in the first place is a Kernel Thing and the kernel definately supports serial mice (OK, unless you use some way exotic device).

Probably just needed a bit of device configuration.
