Distinguish keystrokes from wireless and wired keyboard from script

I want to use my wireless keyboard as a kind of remote control to invoke several scripts. But I'd prefer to keep using my wired keyboard in a regular way. Is there some way I can see from a script if a key stroke is coming from the wireless keyboard?

What I'd like to do is have a script listen if keystrokes are coming from the wireless and then start a program like keylaunch, as soon as the strokes are coming to map the keys to other scripts

then when keystrokes are coming from the wired keyboard, keylaunch has to be stopped.... or something..

you can assign different handlers (drivers) to different ports and keyboards, but it should be made as root and on kernel level. The script (or any app) itself has no real way to find out the source of the (keystroke) event.
