Display problems on Inspiron 8100

'm trying to get X working on a Gentoo system on my Dell Inspiron 8100 with a GeForce 2 Go!, and I can't seem to get the config right... This is with the nv driver, I'm not even attempting to use the nvidia driver yet. What are the correct refresh rates for this screen at 1400x1050? Also, a working XFree86config sample would be mighty helpful. Thanks.

I am not sure as I never tried, but I think you won`t run 1400X1050 without the nvidia drivers. try running it lower and then going up to the limit. What is the error returned?
