Question display problem in RedHat 8.0

Hi there,

I installed RedHat 8.0 on my Dell Inspiron 1100, and the graphic controller is Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV, with a 14.1" display. But during and after installation, I can only use the center part of the display, as if it is a 10" display. I modified the resolution to 1024x768 but it does not work.

Can anyone help me with this problem?
Thank you very much!

Hailong

Perhaps you need a driver for the graphic controller. Sometimes integrated stuff takes a while for the drivers to reach the kernel, especially if it is new hardware.
