display driver installation on Gen2 distrib

The quality of my display is very poor.

I am using a Gen2 distribution and a flat Dell LCD display.

Is there a need for installing a specific driver for my screen?
Can it solve my poor display problems?

In that case, how should I proceed to get and install these drivers?

Thanks for the help or just directions.
