Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Disabling a PCI device

Hello,

It just turns out to be that my TV-Out port is the reason, why I can't propertly install the ATI drivers for my RADEON 9250 PCI (two PCIs found, no display section created for the second). So the question is: is there a way to tell the kernel NOT to initialize or probe or activate a specific PCI slot (in my case 1.10.1 according to lspci)?

Thank you!

Check through your BIOS settings. There is probably a way to enable/disable the TV-Out port in the BIOS.
