Directory /dev/floppy doesnt exist


Directory /dev/floppy doesnt exist - i cant mount it (Slackware).
what should i do ?

How are you attempting to mount the floppy?
Command for mounting floppy:
mount /dev/floppy /mnt/floppy -t auto
/mnt/floppy must exist, I think it's there by default in Slack.
Edit: It's supposed to be /dev/fd0, not /dev/floppy.

mount -t vfat /dev/floppy /mnt/floppy (i try also other than vfat)

i looked in /dev/ and there isn directory floppy

Try substituting /dev/floppy for /dev/fd0

or make a sym link

ln -s /dev/fd0 /dev/floppy

I'm new here but have used justlinux.com in the past. I had problems before when trying to mount the floppy so i will give you the link to my past post and hopefully you can pick something from it.
