Direct cache access (DCA) - modprobe dca

Hi,

I currently have a Intel 82580 NIC along with a Supermicro X9SCL board, a Xeon E3-1230 CPU and a C204 chipset.

I'm trying to get DCA to work, but... there's something which came up- in my mind. Does my system actually support it, given these specs?

Which component(s) must support DCA besides the NIC? The processor? The chipset?
My NIC supports DCA... but I don't really know for the remaining...

I've searched around and found little infos. There is not list of hardware supporting DCA on intel's website or anywhere else... Any help?
