Digital Sound Output

Ok, here's the deal. I'm using a SBLive! with RedHat 7.3. Problem is, I got these bloody Boston speakers that are 100% digital. In Windows XP, I need to turn on DIGITAL OUTPUT ONLY to hear anything . The question is, how do I get the equilivant working in RedHat 7.3?

Thanks in Advance.
