Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Dialup PPP server question

I'm setting up a dialup PPP server using a USR Sportster 56k internal modem. I've successfully setup auto-ppp and set IP forwarding to 1. All works well but I'm concerned that all dialups are consistantly 26.4 (v.34). I realize the uplink spead for a 56k modem (v.90) is only 33.6 but is there a way to switch these somehow?

Thanks, Mark.
