We have linux 8.0, with
mgetty-voice-1.1.28-9
mgetty-sendfax-1.1.28-9
mgetty-1.1.28-9
mgetty-viewfax-1.1.28-9

Since i have tried to create the PPP connection. Modem is installed on ttyS1,
all settings are also done correctly. The problem when i dial the phone to connect to connect to the server to won't making any connection, instead it was just keep on ringing.
mgetty is running on /dev/ttyS1.

When i chked the /var/log/messages for the current error message it shows,
localhost mgetty[3798]: init chat failed, exiting...: Interuped system call
localhost mgetty[3798]: gailed in mg_iniy_data, dev=ttyS1, pid=3798

Pls suggest the solution asap.

Sandesh
