DGA and ati9700 Schneider Drivers?

Hello,

I have successfully installed the stock Schneider drivers (http://www.schneider-digital.de/html/download_ati.html)
on a MDK9.1 for a Hercules 9700 card, but I can't seem to use any programs that make use of the DGA extensions (i.e. VMWare).
Is this normal since these drivers are still in development?
Is there any way to circumvent this problem? I noticed there is a line that says to omit DGA extensions in the XF86config-4 file - could this be the problem?

Thanks
