Detecting LTO4 FC drives in Redhat 3

Hi

I have zone several LTO2 & LTO4 drives to a Redhat 3 server. What are the configurations required to be done on Redhat 3 in order to detect the FC tape devices?

Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It would help if posted all of the hardware associated with the tape drives. I assume these are SCSI devices and that the SCSI controller is being recognized. Make sure the module st is loading. You should have /dev/st0 and /dev/st1 devices.

Look at the output of the dmesg and lsmod commands.
