Dell Wheel Mouse

I'm a linux newbie and could use a little, well, a lot of help. I'll start with my most minor of problems. I can't get my wheel on my wheel mouse to work. I tried selecting generic ps/2 wheel mouse in the mouse configuration (accessed via gnome). The mouse works fine, the wheel doesn't. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Dell mouse is usually by Logitech (says so on the mouse) - try selecting a Logitech 3 button wheel mouse.

If you can't get it done with GUI tools, check in my sig for XF86Config file. It's the Option ZAxisMapping "4 5" that gets the mouse wheel working.
