DELL Precision 5470, Intel MIPI Camera not working

Hi all,
my Dell Precision 5470 webcam is not working on my Linux Mint 21.2 laptop. Some months ago it worked, but now, probably cause by some updates, it doesn't work. I tried some fixes that I found on internet (like this one described in this link https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Dell), but with no success.
Here the fix that I tried:

and using https://webcamtests.com/ the webcam is recognized but the webpage shows only black screen with this error message: The video track is paused.
The webcam turns on the light for 1-2 seconds during the boot, but when it's used by some program still remains turn off and with no output.

Info:
I tried a lot of kernels (6.2.0-26-generic, 6.0.0-1017-generic, 6.1.0-1019-generic, 5.17.0-1035-generic, 5.19.0-50-generic) but all have the same problem. Secure boot is disabled and camera is enabled in bios.

The code is over my head, but I did have a thought.

Have you tested or do you have access to test this camera on another machine just to rule out the possibility of a hardware issue with the camera?

Update:

Oops! I see that it is likely a built-in camera. So I'll take another shot. Do you have access to an external camera that you can test with, again for ruling-out purposes?
