Dell p990
 

I'm using a Dell p990 (Sony, branded Dell) and it's flickering off and coming back on. But before it does it it gets real blurry. Is there a setting I'm missing to prevent this? It never happend in windows.

Using Mandrake 9.2 with KDE. Vid card is GF4 Ti4400.

First off, what drivers are you using? Have you installed the Nvidia binary drivers yet?

yup. Nvidia drivers are installed and looking good. The x86config-4 loogs good also. It's detecting the right monitor and the sync rates look good. I'm stumped.

Hmm, okay, I'm a little stumped. Sorry about the day wait, the HCL is kicking my butt.

You might as well dump your whole /etc/X11/XF86Config file in here, we can probably sort into it from that. Hopefully it isn't something buggy with the Nvidia drivers. Maybe you can get rid of it by declaring narrower ranges then what the monitor has in XF.
