Dell Latitude E6510 Battery Not Charging

Problem - Battery Not Charging

My Bad(Dell), but I got a new GHU Battery X001AYW81Z. Worked fine without AC charger for about 2.5 hours (short time?). I let it get down to 4% charge plugged the AC charger in. The battery never did charge and still shows 4% charge on the panel after overnight charge. I note that the battery light on the laptop case blinks 4 yellow and then 1 blue over and over. This did the same thing with the last battery I replaced and I am now wondering if the last battery was ok and did not need replacing UGH!

Thanks in advance for any help in fixing this.

Not sure if the following will help much since there is no blue diagnostic light.

https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/e...ps-and-tablets

The Dell power adapters do have a memory chip the charger reads but if that was bad I would expect you to see battery state as not charging.
