Dell Inspiron 8200 and bloody bootup logo

Here is the problem. I have Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop and when I turn it on dell logo apears in a small blue square in the center of the screen and when it starts to boot Slackware the boot messages are in the size and shape of that same square. On lilo prompt If I close down the lid and open it again picture spreads across the whole screen as it should be. Same is if I enter BIOS and exit immediatly, picture is OK.
When running on battery closing the lid won`t help.

I hope you guys get the picture of what am I trying to say....

What to do to get rid of that Dell logo or to fix picture problem???

Thanx

Dobar dan!

You could try to use a frame-buffer video
mode from Lilo and see whether that fixes the problem.

Or the BIOS might have a setting that deals
with VGA resolution and view size.

Cheers,
Tink

Same Problem

Folks:

I've had the same problem off and on with my Dell Inspiron 3800. There is key combination during boot up that will make the boot up fill the entire screen--a techy showed me when I had some warranty work done to the laptop. But I forget what it is. I thought I remembered shift-f1 or something to that affect. If anyone thinks of it, let me know.

AxeZ:

I think I figured out the solution to your problem. Try hitting fn-f7 when the logo appears during bootup. Both the logo and Slackware starting up should fill the whole screen, then.
