Hello,
I just purchased a new Dell 5100, and have tried to set up with a dual boot with Redhat. Unfortunately, Red Hat didn't detect the integrated Broadcom NIC, and the Red Hat Tech Support says it is not supported. I've seen posts on this forum and others where other folks have had the same problem, and they seem to have found a solution. Using one of these lists, I found a link to asus.com which had a linux driver. The readme said there was a tar and a rpm distribution, but I have only found the tar. When I tried to run the make (there was no configure), the make failed with a long list of errors. I thought it may need the kernel-source to compile, but installing that didn't help. I don't know what other source files it may need, but don't know if that is the issue. Does anyone else know what the solution may be?
It also didn't find the monitor, but I was able to get by with the screen size. That's a later project. . .
Thank you for any help!
