Dell 1710 Laser Drivers

I got a Dell 1710 laser printer today from dell which says it supported 'Linux' the only thing I can find are an rpm and deb driver package and I am running Unbuntu.

There is a .plugin file but I am not even sure what that is or how to use it, I noticed the Samsung ML-1710 has the same exact case and almost identical specs but it is a bit older so I tried those drivers with not much luck.

I will call Dell but I have a feeling they are not going to be willing to do much but take it back and I always spend 45+ mins on the phone everytime I call even for something very minimal.

Thanks in advance

I was able to print by selecting the Generic->PCL 6 driver. I'm not sure if the envelope feed will work.
