Debian partition is running short of space

Hi! Lately my Debian-11 OS has highlighted it is running short of hdd space (It reads 1.71 Gb/41.8Gb). On those folders [/home] its capacity has reached 17.2G and the [/usr] has reached 10.5Gb. I have tried to remove unneeded apps but i get to clear only 1.70 GB.
How can I clear more and which folders that I can safely delete its contents.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

The size of /usr looks ok to me, on par with an average installation.

My recommendation: move your /home to a different partition/drive.

Just for reference the OP has a single partition. You can run the same commands in the /home directory as posted in your other thread to find the largest directories. Moving files from your home directories would be the easiest short term fix and the obvious places are the /Downloads and /Documents directories. Adding additional space to / as well as creating a separate partition for /home are other solutions.

Keeping the information in the same thread instead of creating a new one makes it easier for members to provide help.
