debian not detecting wireless ethernet card


I am running Debian on kernel version 2.6.12.1. My wireless ethernet card Dell TrueMobile 1150 (which i understand to be really an Orinoco) will not run or even be detected by linux at all.

My eth0, which is a Broadcom, runs fine, but i only use it when i cant use my wireless.

In the installation of Debian, it detected both eth0 and eth1 and asked me to choose which one i used for the installation, which was eth0 at the time. it loaded everything correctly, but now it cant detect eth1 (or wont).
