Debian nforce2 support?

I'm thinking about trying linux. I was wondering if anyone who use debian or a debian based distro knows if it will detect my setup. I'm using a shuttle xpc with nforce2 chipset and on board geforce4 mx graphics. Thanks.

It should.
No promises, but the stock kernel likely has those modules.

But, then, if you're going to install debian, you're not afraid to get your hands dirty with recompiling your own kernel.... right? ;)

I have ASUS A7N8x Deluxe mobo that has nForce chipset. I had been running Librannet (2.7 Classic) on it with no issues. Also tried Mepis and Knoppix with no problems. Only distro to stay away is Mandrake. If you can even get it to install on this mobo its a great challengem but be prepared for random freezes.
